Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-01-31
Block Puzzle on block-puzzle.org lets you play Block Puzzle and other browser games. We respect your privacy and keep data collection minimal. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.
TL;DR (The Short Version)
- No account required to play
- Our hosting/CDN may process basic technical data to deliver the site
- Analytics are optional and aggregate
- Comments are optional and handled by Waline
- Embedded games may use their own cookies or storage
What We Collect
By default, we do not require personally identifiable information to play. Like most websites, our infrastructure providers (e.g. hosting/CDN) may process limited technical data to serve pages and protect the service, such as:
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP
- User agent, requested pages, and timestamps
- Security signals to prevent abuse and bot traffic
- Performance and error logs for debugging
This data is used to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and improve performance. We do not use it to personally identify you.
Hosting and Infrastructure
Block Puzzle is delivered through modern web infrastructure. Requests may be handled and protected by our providers, including Cloudflare. These providers may set essential cookies or use similar techniques for security (for example, rate limiting and bot protection).
Analytics (Optional)
We may use Google Analytics and/or Plausible when enabled to measure aggregate traffic and page performance. These services may set cookies or use similar technologies. We do not run analytics on /embed pages. Blocking analytics scripts or cookies will not prevent you from playing.
Comments (Waline)
If you choose to post a comment, the Waline comment system processes:
- Nickname you provide
- Email address (used for anti-spam and avatars)
- Comment content
- IP address and user agent for moderation
Comments are public and visible to other visitors. Comment data is stored on the configured Waline server, which may be hosted by a third-party provider. We moderate comments to remove spam and inappropriate content.
Games and Embeds
Games are loaded through a sandboxed embed layer with a no-referrer policy to limit data sharing. Many games are hosted by third-party providers, and those providers may collect data or show ads according to their own policies. Flash-era games use the Ruffle emulator, which is loaded from a CDN when needed.
Cookies and Local Storage
We aim to use minimal cookies. Depending on configuration and your actions:
- Analytics providers may set cookies (only if enabled)
- Waline may use cookies or local storage for the comment experience
- Infrastructure providers may set essential security cookies
- Individual games may store settings or progress in local storage or IndexedDB
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work as expected.
Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent user data. We may share limited data only:
- With infrastructure providers (hosting/CDN) to deliver the site
- With analytics providers if enabled
- With the comment provider when you post comments
- When required by law
Data Retention
Operational and security logs are retained only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting, subject to provider policies. Comment data remains visible until you request removal or it is removed for policy reasons.
Your Choices and Rights
You can:
- Block cookies and tracking in your browser
- Choose not to post comments
- Request deletion of your comments or data
To exercise these rights, email support@block-puzzle.org.
Children's Privacy
Our site is designed for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, please contact us for removal.

We may update this policy as needed. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
